Manufacturing-Melting
The
Michigan Steel melting department utilizes arc furnace and induction
melting to produce heats from 300 pounds to 10,000 pounds in 100 different
alloys. The grades of steel produced include carbon steel, low alloy steel,
stainless steel, and nickel based alloys. In order to obtain
specialized properties for specific applications, the Michigan Steel
metallurgical department routinely works with customers' engineers to
design or modify alloy chemistries. |
